Employee and Labor Relations

Employee and Labor Relations is committed to administering the University's policies and procedures regarding workplace issues, including disciplinary actions and grievance procedures, in a fair, equitable and consistent manner.  We enable employees and managers to work together cooperatively and, when necessary, we will serve as an intermediary to avert and/or resolve issues between management and staff and/or union representatives.

We provide consultation and support services regarding:

• HR policy development and interpretation
• Negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements
• Agreement between Office & Professional Employees International Union, Local 153, AFL-CIO and Seton Hall University
• Agreement between Seton Hall University and the International Union of Operating Engineer, Local Union 68-68A
• Employee recognition
• OSHA Issues
