Meal Plans
All students with a University housing assignment (except in Ora Manor or Turrell Manor) are required to have a meal plan assignment. The default meal plan is Meal Plan U, but they can choose to upgrade to a different meal plan assignment.
Commuter students and students with a housing assignment in Ora Manor or Turrell Manor have the option of purchasing a meal plan.
While the Department of Residence Life administers the meal plan assignment process and meal plan billing, Gourmet Dining Services (GDS) oversees everything else related to University dining services. They are able to questions regarding food options, interacting with the nutritionist, events in the dining hall, and the Chattback feature.
Meal Plan Options
All on-campus residential students are required to purchase a meal plan. Commuters and off-campus students have the option of purchasing a meal plan as well. Students can purchase a meal plan by emailing residencelife@shu.edu.
For current meal plan options, please see Tuition and Fees.
Meal Plan Changes
Add/Drop Day is the last day for students to remove or downgrade their meal plan assignment. They may change their plan by emailing residencelife@shu.edu.
After the Add/Drop Day, meal plan assignments can still be upgraded.
Meal plan assignments automatically carry over from the Fall semester to Spring semester unless the student changes their meal plan.
