Seton Hall Resources

Career Center at Seton Hall
The Career Center at Seton Hall offers comprehensive employment resources for students and alumni seeking internships, full-time, part-time and volunteer positions. The Career Center offers vocational assessments, individual mock interviews, career coaching, job fairs and on-campus recruiting. The Career Center is located in room 29 of Bayley Hall.

Internship Resources

Washington Center - Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 
Funded by the AT&T Foundation and HSC Foundation, these awards provide housing assistance in varying amounts (up to a full housing scholarship) to competitively selected students who self-identify as having a disability, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Priority consideration is given to undergraduate students; however, Postgraduate Program applicants may be considered.

Washington Center - Kessler Foundation Scholarship 
A limited number of full scholarships will also be competitively awarded to students who attend New Jersey institutions and self-identify as having a disability, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For this award, students may be asked for a brief personal statement. Students interested in the Kessler Scholarship who attend a New Jersey institution are encouraged to email us at info@twc.edu for more information.

Lime Connect
Lime Connect offers scholarship, fellowship, employment and networking programs designed to connect undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students and alumni with disabilities to top companies in the US and Canada. Full-time, internship, and co-op opportunities are updated regularly on the Lime website.

Entry Point
Sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Entry Point offers internship opportunities for students with disabilities studying science, engineering, mathematics, computer science and business.

Emerging Leaders
Emerging Leaders is a highly competitive program that places undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities in fulfilling, paid summer internships and provides them with leadership development opportunities.

American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD)
The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is dedicated to developing emerging leaders with disabilities by promoting and supporting internships and mentorship opportunities designed for job seekers with disabilities.

Employment Resources

Career Gateway
Career Gateway, sponsored by Career Opportunities for students with Disabilities (COSD), is a national online job posting and resume database systems for students with disabilities.

Employer Assistance & Resource Network
The Employer Assistance & Resource Network (EARN) provides employers with confidential, no-cost consultation, customized technical assistance and resources to support their diversity and inclusion efforts by integrating employees and veterans with disabilities into the workplace. The site includes tools and resources for jobseekers as well as access to employment specialists.

DisaboomJobs
DisaboomJobs is an online directory of employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The companies represented on DisaboomJobs actively seek to recruit highly-qualified individuals with disabilities as part of their inclusive workforce. Job hunters can search among more than 600,000 career opportunities, create a profile, upload a resume and showcase skills to potential employers.

The National Business & Disabilities Council
The National Business & Disability Council is a resource for employers seeking to integrate people with disabilities into the workplace. NBDC offers job seekers the ability to post their resume and search job and internship listings.

Raise Hope Foundation
Raise Hope Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that has been founded and created to educate and mentor people with disabilities, including American military veterans, for successful careers in the financial services industry. Qualified participants are educated, in a wheelchair accessible environment, in both work and life skills.

Job Access
Job seekers with disabilities can use Job Access to search for employment, post resumes, and participate in online job fairs.

disABLEDperson Inc.
In partnership with AfterCollege Inc., disABLEDperson Inc. offers a job portal specifically for college students and graduates with disabilities.

Just One Break
Just One Break's (JOB) mission is to find competitive employment for individuals with disabilities through partnerships with companies in an all industries. JOB helps place people with disabilities in full-time jobs and internships.

GettingHired.com
GettingHired's online portal connects job seekers with disabilities to employers committed to a creating a diverse working environment. The social networking medium offers individuals a platform to connect with each other and career mentors.

Disabilityworks
Disabilitywork.com is a fee-for-service job placement agency for highly qualified individuals with disabilities.

AFB CareerConnect
The American Foundation for the Blind sponsors CareerConnect, a free resource for blind or visually impaired job seekers in the U.S. and Canada. Job listings and workplace accommodations are provided.

American Council of the Blind Job Connection
ACB provides a list of nationwide job announcements.

National Industries for the Blind
The National Industries for the Blind offers the AbilityOne Program, a program that assists blind and disabled individuals gain and maintain employment.

Federal and State Government Internships and Employment Opportunities

Federal Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) 
Coordinated by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the U.S. Department of Defense, the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private sector employers with highly motivated postsecondary students with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs. The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is a source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and employment issues. JAN's consultants offer one-on-one guidance on workplace accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related legislation, and self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for people with disabilities.

The ADA: Your Employment Rights as an Individual with a Disability
Published by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), this fact sheet outlines individual's rights under the American's with Disabilities Act.

Guide to Disability Law
The Guide to Disability Law is a general primer on the various federal laws that impact the lives of people with disabilities. The guide also provides resources and contact information for the federal agencies responsible for enforcing the legislation.

Guide for Job Seekers and Employees
Published by Portland Community College, the Guide for Job Seekers and Employers provides information about career planning, preparation, accommodations, and disclosure for job seekers with disabilities.

Customized Employment Q & A: Disclosure
