The law school provides 24-hour surveillance, through security guards who patrol the building on a regular basis. The security desk is located in the lobby of the law school and available at 973-642-8725. Students are urged to walk with companions during evening hours and to use the Seton Hall Law School complimentary shuttle service when returning to parking lots or to Newark railroad stations. In the event of an on-campus emergency requiring immediate notification and response by police, fire, or emergency medical services agencies, please dial 911.

Fire Safety

The University Fire Safety Program is coordinated by the Department of Public Safety. The department ensures that Fire Safety Program functions are completed, and that SHU fire safety policy and procedures are reviewed and updated as needed. Learn more about the Seton Hall Fire Safety Program »

PirateAlert

PirateAlert is Seton Hall University's primary emergency notification system and is provided by RAVE Mobile Safety. PirateAlert is used to alert the Seton Hall University community of a public safety emergency that could impact the campus. Learn more about PirateAlert notification system.

Since the events at Columbine High School and Virginia Tech, the response to the threat of an active shooter has become a critical emergency preparedness issue. Members of the University community should be aware of the threat and be familiar with procedures that can help them survive an active shooter event. More information »

Lost And Found

Found articles should be turned over to the Security Officers located in the main lobby near the entrance to the law school.
