Seton Hall Graduate Programs Earn National and Regional Distinctions in U.S. News Rankings

Seton Hall University’s graduate programs continue to earn recognition for academic excellence, career outcomes and regional leadership, as reflected in the newly released 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings. Programs in business, law, health sciences and education were once again named among the nation’s best—with several disciplines posting notable gains.

The Best Graduate Schools rankings evaluate programs annually using a range of key indicators, including enrollment and faculty data, to help prospective students make informed decisions about their options for advanced study. School of Law: Specialty Programs Surge

As part of its law school rankings, U.S. News also ranks what it calls “Specialties” within the law. Home to the renowned Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law, Seton Hall Law has long been known as a leader in Health Care Law and has ranked within the Top 15 in U.S. News for decades. This year, Health Law was ranked No. 12 nationally — the highest-ranked program in the tri-state area.

According to U.S. News, Seton Hall ranks among the Top 10 law schools in the tri-state area. The Law School’s distinctive weekend program jumped 11 spots and is now ranked No. 11 nationally and remains one of the top 10 private and top 5 Catholic part-time programs in the country.

Seton Hall Law is also ranked by Princeton Review as the best law school in the nation for securing a state or local clerkship after graduation, based on data on J.D. graduates from the class of 2023.

Stillman School of Business: Top in New Jersey and Tri-State Area

The Stillman School of BusinessPart-Time M.B.A. program rose nine spots this year to No. 59, marking a rise of 25 places over the past three years and placing it among the top-ranked part-time M.B.A. programs in the country. It is now ranked No. 2 in New Jersey and the No. 1 private M.B.A. program in the state. Among private institutions in the tri-state area (New Jersey, New York and Connecticut), the Business School ranks among the Top 5. Seton Hall is also ranked among the Top 15 Catholic universities in the nation.

School of Health and Medical Sciences: Exclusive Regional Distinctions

Seton Hall’s School of Health and Medical Sciences achieved notable gains across several disciplines:

  • Master of Healthcare Management (M.H.A.) was ranked No. 39 nationally. It is the only CAHME-accredited program of its kind in New Jersey, offering a flexible online-hybrid format.
  • The Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program was ranked No. 72, climbing 11 places in the past three years and into the top twenty-five percent of schools nationally.
  • The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (M.S.O.T.) program, ranked No. 84 nationally, is the No. 2 highest-ranking M.S.O.T. program in New Jersey.

This continued recognition from U.S. News & World Report reflects Seton Hall’s commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders for professional success in New Jersey and across the country.

Graduate Programs Across Colleges Continue to Excel

In addition to the April 2026 rankings, Seton Hall was also recently ranked the No. 1 private university in New Jersey and in the Top 20 institutions in the tri-state area. In January, Seton Hall’s online graduate education programs were recognized by U.S. News as among the best in the nation and within the top 10 in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT).

U.S. News & World Report also recognized Seton Hall’s College of Nursing in its January 2026 ranking of Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs. The Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) programs ranked 35 out of 201 programs at U.S. colleges and universities, placing Seton Hall in the top 11 percent of all programs nationwide, third among all Catholic colleges and universities and, once again, the top-ranked program in New Jersey.

Across disciplines, these results highlight Seton Hall’s continued ability to deliver rigorous, well-regarded graduate programs that prepare students for meaningful professional advancement.
