I am Paulos Lemma. I was born on March 28, 1978 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I grew up in Addis Ababa with my parents and two elder brothers. When I was young, I used to read a lot of Amharic and English novels.

When I joined high school, I became more inclined to mathematics and the physical sciences. I joined college at a very young age.

I studied mathematics with passion and immense interest for four years at Alemaya University located 325 mi from Addis Ababa. I resided in the university campus for four years. My minor was physics during my undergrad studies.

After graduation, I became a high school teacher in Sep, 2001 back in Addis Ababa. Teaching at a high school in Addis Ababa was becoming quite different from the way it was when I was a student. I taught in a high school for 4 years and then joined Addis Ababa University for post grad studies.

I was a full-time student for 2 years at AAU just like I was during my undergrad studies at Alemaya.

I graduated from Addis Ababa University with M.S. degree in mathematics in June 2007. After post grad, I taught at an international school until July 2010 and then I taught at the university for the remaining years until 2015.

In May 2016, I came to New Jersey and two months later I became a volunteer tutor at Seton Hall in Aug 2016. I tutored three students one on one, and I gave tutorial class to four students taking Calc I for a full semester.

Eventually, I became an instructor at Seton Hall. Since then, I am enjoying teaching at Seton Hall so very much.
