Eric Lopez is currently the Director of IT Security for Seton Hall University and has been teaching courses in Cybersecurity and Networking since 2018. He is also the faculty advisor for the University's first Cybersecurity Club.
In an effort to provide students with real-world experience, he has led the effort to hire students who are interested in entering the cybersecurity field as Student Security Analysts, which provides them training and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art security systems. These students also operate as a Tier 1 SOC for the University.
Prior to joining Seton Hall University, Eric managed global technology and engineering teams as well as infrastructures for NBCUniversal and Merck & Co., Inc.
Eric is committed to the mission of the University and is passionate about engaging with and preparing students to be the next generation of Defenders.
