Stefanie Davis Kempton, Ph.D. is the Assistant Dean for Academic Partnerships and Innovation for the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media. In this role, she works to cultivate unique and valuable experiences for all students in the college through academic, industry, and community partnerships.

Kempton is a media and communications professional with experience spanning both academics and industry. Prior to Seton Hall, she was on faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University and Penn State Altoona, teaching journalism and media courses. She is also an established scholar focusing on women’s representation in the media and the lived experiences of women media professionals.

Kempton also has over 15 years of experience as a broadcast journalist. She has appeared on national networks, including ABC News, Fox Business, Bloomberg, and the Big Ten Network. She is also a freelance journalist for national print and online publications.

Kempton earned her Ph.D. in Mass Communications from the Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State University. She also holds a M.A. and a B.A. from Penn State.
