Duty to Report Suspected Child Abuse

We all have a duty to report suspected child abuse and neglect to the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF/Child Protection and Permanency). This duty applies to all members of the University community, including students and volunteers. In New Jersey, the law requires all citizens to report suspected child abuse or neglect immediately to DCF/Child Protection and Permanency at 1-877 NJ ABUSE (1877-652-2873). Should you have any concerns or questions, please contact Toni Hindsman, M.A., Director of EEO Compliance, Title IX Coordinator at (973) 275-2513 or via e-mail at toni.hindsman@shu.edu.
