Next Philosophers Speak Lecture on "Wonder in Nicholas of Cusa and Nietzsche"

On Thursday, October 4th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Bethany Hall A, the Philosophy Department and the Dean's Office of the College of Arts and Sciences will feature the next Philosophers Speak distinguished lecture series. This lecture brings to campus the renowned Dr. Sean Kelly to discuss "Wonder in Nicholas of Cusa and Nietzsche."

Professor Kelly is Professor of Philosophy and previous chair at Harvard University. Before joining the Harvard faculty, he taught at Stanford University and Princeton University. His research has been concerned with various aspects of the philosophical, phenomenological, and cognitive neuroscientific nature of human experience. His work spans across disciplines, and has recently engaged with the ideas of W.B. Yeats, Kafka, Merleau-Ponty, Husserl, Heidegger, and Homer to name a few. He has also taught courses on 20th century French and German Philosophy, Philosophy of Perception, Imagination and Memory, Aesthetics, and Philosophy of Literature.
