Welcome to Seton Hall University’s College of Nursing!

kristi stinson

For the 21st consecutive year, nursing has been ranked as the most trusted and honest profession. Couple that with the higher-than-ever demand for safe, professional nurses, Seton Hall’s College of Nursing is poised to meet the challenge to educate future nurses and nursing leaders who will provide the highest quality of care and positively impact patients and their families in a global society.

An integral part of an established Catholic university, the College of Nursing welcomes a student body enriched by cultural, ethnic and racial diversity where religious and ethical commitment and educational excellence are valued. Our mission is to offer a values-based curriculum aimed at assisting our students to excel as members of interprofessional healthcare teams, to act as servant leaders, to provide evidence-based compassionate care and to improve their communities. Our faculty are recognized as leaders, researchers and practitioners locally, regionally and nationally and are committed to assisting students to transform theory into practice, as well as guiding them in critical thinking and clinical judgment through a variety of learning experiences. Faculty at the College of Nursing develop close, mentoring relationships with individual students at all levels, further enriching their nursing education. With a focus on population health, quality care and patient safety, our curriculum provides our graduates with the necessary skills to provide patient care to patients, families, and communities.

You will find Seton Hall nurses in every healthcare setting. The College of Nursing boasts an extensive alumni network of nursing leaders across the state, country and beyond, giving our graduates a competitive edge in the workplace. Take a few moments to explore our offerings. Whether you are beginning your nursing journey with a baccalaureate degree, looking for an accelerated program after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in another area, or seeking to advance your career through the pursuit of a graduate degree, I am certain that you will be able to find a home at the College of Nursing.

If you have questions, I encourage you to reach out to us directly. I look forward to hearing from you.
