Winter Gear Collection Drive - Supporting Seton Hall Community Members
Friday, October 2, 2026
As the cold season approaches, the Office of International Programs (OIP), in collaboration
with the Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE), is launching our Winter Gear Collection
Drive to support Seton Hall community members who may be experiencing their first
winter in the New Jersey area, as well as anyone who may be in need of winter gear.
We invite students, faculty and staff to contribute new or gently used winter items such as coats, gloves, scarves, hats, additional clothing will not be accepted. Your donations will help ensure that members of our community who may be unfamiliar with Northeast winters feel comfortable, prepared and welcomed this season.
Kick-Off: October 5
Collection Dates: October 5–16
Drop-Off Locations:
• OIP Office, Jubilee Hall, Rooms 231–234
• DOVE Office, Boland Hall, Room 108
Donations can be dropped off during office hours from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Please ensure that all items are clean, in good condition and wearable.
Distribution Dates: October 19–20
Distribution Location: OIP Office, Jubilee Hall, Rooms 231–234
During the distribution dates, students who are in need of warm winter items are welcome to visit the OIP Office during office hours from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. to select items that will help them prepare for the colder months. OIP will be the only distribution location.
Following the distribution, any remaining winter gear will be donated to St. John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark in collaboration with DOVE, allowing us to extend the impact of this drive to members of the broader Newark community.
This initiative reflects our collective effort to build a supportive, inclusive and caring campus community. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping our students and community members stay warm and feel right at home this winter.
