Stillman School MBA Ranked in Top 27 Percent by U.S. News & World Report

Image of Jubilee HallU.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best Graduate Schools has ranked the Stillman School of Business’ part-time M.B.A. program No. 73 in the nation, up 11 spots since last year, placing the program in the top 27 percent.

"The continued recognition of our M.B.A. program among the best in the nation and the rise of 11 places since last year are both strong external validations of the high quality of Stillman’s curriculum, faculty and students," said Joyce Strawser, Ph.D., dean of the Stillman School. "Our program's success is a credit to the faculty's dedication in providing meaningful and practical learning experiences, as well as the support and contributions of their alumni partners, who serve on advisory boards, enhance classroom experiences and offer valuable professional connections for graduates."

The School is among the select M.B.A. programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) — the highest standard of achievement for business schools and earned by only 5 percent of schools worldwide granting business degrees at the bachelor's level or higher. Only 194 of these select schools maintain supplemental accreditation in accounting, with the Stillman School of Business among them.

Factored into the 2024 U.S. News rankings are a peer assessment score, median GMAT scores, average months of work experience, total part-time M.B.A. enrollment and — one of our stronger categories — undergraduate GPA, which is 3.56 for graduate students entering Seton Hall this year. This compares very favorably against the median undergraduate GPA of 3.35 for all schools and a median undergraduate GPA of 3.43 for the Top 25 schools.

The M.B.A. program caters to working professionals, offering evening classes as well as flexible delivery formats such as on campus, online and hybrid program options.

With a focus on applied learning, the bookends of the 40-credit program begin with the "M.B.A. Launch Experience," an immersive two-day program, and conclude with a team-consulting project with real client engagement. In between, students are taught real-world business principles via the utilization of a "spotlight company," and choose from among eight specializations while being taught by dedicated, top-notch faculty and practice partners from Fortune 500 organizations.

The M.B.A. program was also nationally recognized as a 2023-2024 "Best Business School" by The Princeton Review for the 17th consecutive year. Additionally, the School was named among the "Best Undergraduate Business Schools" by Poets&Quants and placed best in New Jersey for Academic Experience, Alumni Network and Career Preparation. Among Catholic universities, Seton Hall was placed in the top 10 (No. 8). In addition, a recent report from Georgetown University found that graduates of Seton Hall’s master's accounting programs have the fifth highest return on investment (ROI) among all accounting programs in the U.S., ranking Seton Hall’s graduate accounting programs No. 1 in New Jersey.
