Seton Hall University's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program proudly celebrates student Timothy Dziekan's impressive achievement as part of a winning team at the annual NASPAA Student Simulation Competition. This prestigious event, hosted virtually this year, brought together students from around the globe to tackle real-world public service challenges, emphasizing critical competencies including diversity, equity and inclusion.

NASPAA's Simulation Competition offers an innovative educational experience, bridging classroom theory with practical application. Students work collaboratively under pressure, developing critical skills essential for their future roles as public service professionals.

Representing Seton Hall were M.P.A. students Camila Mora, Gabrielle Kuper, Jordan Clark-Sherman, Shayne Simmons and Timothy Dziekan. Participants competed across seven virtual "sites," with each site determining its winning team. Tim's outstanding performance contributed to his team's victory at one of these sites. In April, judges will select one global winner from these seven exemplary teams.

This victory places Seton Hall alongside other renowned programs such as Cornell University, the University of Delaware and the University of San Diego. Notably, this is Seton Hall's first victory in the NASPAA competition and potentially the first time the university has participated.

Congratulations to Tim and to all our nominated students—Camila, Gabrielle, Jordan and Shayne—for representing Seton Hall’s M.P.A. program with distinction. Their achievements reflect the excellence and commitment of our student community.

Accredited by the NASPAA, the program offers four concentration options, including its nationally recognized nonprofit management concentration—ranked among the nation's top 15 percent according to U.S. News & World Report.
