Master of Science in Homeland Security and Cyber Resilience

Our interdisciplinary M.S. program will equip you with marketable skills in intelligence, homeland and cyber security, law enforcement leadership, emergency healthcare management and law.  Designed for mid-career professionals and offered entirely online, this program will help you achieve your academic and professional goals.

The M.S. in Homeland Security and Cyber Resilience offers career-focused coursework in international relations, law, healthcare, education and business. The curriculum for this 30-credit program covers topics such as bioterrorism, risk management, national security and civil defense. Electives allow you to deepen your expertise in areas such as crisis communication, global security and peacebuilding. We welcome both full and part-time students with small, flexible online classes that fit your schedule. Our graduates have gone on to work at prestigious organizations such as USAID, the U.S. Department of Defense, PwC, the International Rescue Committee and the Institute of International Education, among others.

Admissions Requirements

Admission into the School of Diplomacy and International Relations is selective. For consideration, applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. We welcome applicants from a variety of undergraduate majors. Although all requests will be considered based on individual merit and each candidate will be evaluated holistically, an undergraduate overall GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) is generally required. GRE scores are optional.

Curriculum Overview

The 30-credit program consists of eight required classes, supplemented by two electives.  The coursework allows you to explore your area of interest, fostering a professional expertise that prepares you for careers in homeland and cyber security.

With an intelligence and cyber security focus, you can choose from diverse courses, such as:

Does the School Offer Financial aid?

Yes. There are a variety of ways to support your graduate studies. Many students take advantage of loans to help fund their education.  To learn more about student loan programs and graduate scholarships, connect with the Office of Financial Aid.

Are Graduate Assistantships available?

Yes. As part of its financial aid packages, Seton Hall offers graduate assistantships. These professional assigments draw on a variety of different skills and require 20 hours of on campus work each week. Students must be admitted to a program before they can apply for a graduate assistantship. Additional awards can be viewed here.  The School also offers Research Assistantships and Graduate Fellowships based on academic merit.

Is the School Affiliated with External Scholarships?
