Non-matriculated Students
Seton Hall offers students the opportunity to take undergraduate courses for credit without being formerly admitted and without enrolling in a degree program.
Applying to Seton Hall as a non-matriculated student is easy. Complete and submit the Seton Hall Application and pay your $65 application fee (non-refundable). No transcript or recommendation is required.

Fall Semester: August 1
Spring Semester: December 1
Non-Matriculated Status Limitations
- Students are limited to 18 credits hours in a non-matriculated status unless the student signs a written statement that he/she does not intend to pursue an undergraduate degree.
- Students may take a maximum of 9 credits per semester. Students may need a faculty signature to be signed into courses.
- Students may not take classes that need prerequisites, classes that need a placement test (such as English, Math and Language), or classes that are labs.
- Students are not eligible for financial aid.
