The Center for Catholic Studies provides several programming opportunities to facilitate conversation and collaboration between our students, faculty, and administrators.
Agape Latte
Agape (ἀγάπη) is a Greek word best understood as unconditional and self-giving love. While latte is Italian for milk, it most commonly refers to the popular coffeehouse drink made with espresso and steamed milk. Together, the words give us the name for this student-centered campus coffeehouse.
The idea is simple: create a relaxed and welcoming space where students can hear members of the Seton Hall community share personal stories of faith, vocation, challenge and God’s loving presence in their lives. Each gathering includes a featured storyteller, conversation and community — plus free coffee, desserts and other activities that may include music, poetry, trivia or games.
Led by students, Agape Latte brings together people from across the University for an evening of listening, reflection and dialogue. Students help plan the gatherings, provide music and activities, welcome guests, invite storytellers and encourage friends to attend.
College is a learning experience, not just for your mind, but for the heart and spirit.
