Seton Hall's first in-person Marketing Speed Networking event since 2020, held on March 20, emerged as a triumph of collaboration. The event was a joint effort involving several university partners, including Seton Hall’s Stillman School of Business, Market Research Center, PRSSA, Marketing Club, and Career Center.

This unique networking opportunity allowed students to 'speed date' with a version of their future selves. Over 20 industry professionals and employers, including esteemed alumni, facilitated this engagement, providing students with a glimpse into various marketing career paths. From digital marketing, advertising, sales, market research and other marketing specialties, students had just a few minutes at each table to glean insights and pose questions, making the event an exploration of diverse marketing avenues. With an impressive turnout of over 80 students, the event left an indelible mark as a resounding success.

Daniel Ladik, Department of Marketing chair, and co-host of the event, said to the students, "Our goal tonight is to learn about careers, career paths and career options. It is absolutely fantastic, you will have an incredible, experienced professional with you tonight, multiple times."

Gabrielle Chavenet, a junior marketing student, noted after the event, "It went by really quick, but I did my best to make each minute count, and learn as much as I could. I got to speak to different people and get a feel for what they do for work on a daily basis."

The speed networking event, a recurring highlight until its hiatus after 2020 amidst the pandemic, made a triumphant return four years later. The collaborative efforts of the involved partners ensured its success, rekindling the spirit of connection and knowledge exchange. With such an outstanding revival, there's optimistic anticipation that Seton Hall's Marketing Speed Networking event will reclaim its annual status, becoming a perennial event for years to come.
