Students must submit separate applications to both Seton Hall's School of Diplomacy
and Seton Hall Law and must be accepted for admission to each school. Students should
indicate on each application that they wish to be considered for the JD/MA joint degree
program.

Candidates should complete the primary application information, attach a current resume
and statement of purpose. Additional documents, including letters of recommendation,
LSAT scores and transcripts will be extracted from the Law School application. Please

Only one application fee is required; students can request an application fee waiver
for the School of Diplomacy portion of the application.
Application/Enrollment Options
- JD/MA candidates who are accepted to both programs concurrently must enroll only in
law courses during the first year of studies and enroll in a combination of law/diplomacy
courses thereafter.
- Students who enroll in the MA stand-alone program are eligible to apply for the JD/MA
program during their first year of studies. If admitted to the JD program, candidates
must enroll only in law courses for the following year and resume enrollment in a
combination of law/diplomacy courses thereafter.
- Students who enroll in the JD stand-alone program first are eligible to apply for
the JD/MA program during the first year of law studies.
- Students must be in good academic standing in their program of initial enrollment
(JD or MA) in order to receive consideration for the joint degree program.
