Career Opportunities
Chemistry sits quietly in the background, from life-saving drugs to clean energy. An M.S. in Chemistry, when paired with research or business, can unlock advanced roles in sectors like pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and materials science.
Master’s-trained chemists are increasingly found in biotech, pharma, law, policy, education and entrepreneurship—with employers seeking analytical thinkers who can distill complexity into solutions.
At Seton Hall, you’ll sharpen your mind through advanced coursework and gain research experience, building both the credentials and confidence to go further. With an M.S., graduates can enter a pharmaceutical lab, classroom or conference room—and hold their own in each.
Whether you want to move directly into a career or lay the groundwork for a Ph.D. candidacy, you’ll gain a competitive edge shaped by not only what you know, but by how you apply it. This rigorous academic formation extends further through corporate partnerships with companies like Bristol Myers Squibb, which provide research opportunities in material science.
