B.S.B. or B.A.B.A./M.S. in Business Analytics

Dual Degree

Students pursuing either the B.S. or B.A. in Business Administration have the option to apply to a dual degree program in which they can earn both their bachelor’s degree and a M.S. in Business Analytics within a five-year period. Two options are available. Students may: (1) apply for dual admission to both degrees at the time of their initial application to the School or (2) apply for admission to the M.S. in Business Analytics portion of the program during their junior year.

Curriculum

Students enrolled in the dual program take a mixture of undergraduate and graduate courses during their senior year followed by all graduate work thereafter.

The fifth year is reserved exclusively for graduate business courses. When the student has completed all undergraduate degree requirements and 120 credit hours, the student receives a bachelor's degree. After completing the M.S. in Business Analytics requirements and a minimum of 150 total credit hours, the student also receives an M.S. degree.

Admissions Process

Freshman applicants should consult the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to learn more about the competitive application process by emailing thehall@shu.edu or calling (973) 313-6146. To be eligible to begin graduate coursework (generally after the completion of 90 credits), dual-admissions applicants must have attained a GPA of 3.4 or higher.

Stillman undergraduate students who do not apply for dual admission may apply after completing between 75 and 90 undergraduate credit hours. Applicants must meet all requirements for admission to the M.S. in Business Analytics.

The student spends the first three years undergraduate courses. After the completion of 75 credit hours, the student applies for the M.S. in Business Analytics. Competitive applicants must meet all requirements for admission to the M.S. in Business Analytics program including meeting or exceeding one of the following criteria:

  • Obtaining a cumulative college GPA of 3.4 or higher, OR
  • Scoring within the 50th percentile (i.e., 570) or higher in any graduate level standardized test (i.e., GMAT, GRE, LSAT), OR
  • Obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher AND a score in the 30th percentile (i.e., 500) or higher in any graduate level standardized test (i.e., GMAT, GRE, LSAT)
  • Successful completion of Business Statistics BQUA 2811.
